my sister-in-law danielle got married last weekend! she was, of course, absolutely radiant and mark and i had the opportunity to spend a few spare minutes between the ceremony and reception with her and jay capturing some images for them. there were some awesome locations just a few minutes away from the ceremony and reception site (their gorgeous property out at sylvan lake) so we took full advantage of the scenery! anyhow, that is probably enough out of me as i am absolutely tuckered out after a really cool session at the exhibition tonight and i need to get into bed!

and just for fun, a snap of mark and i :) this image tells me two things: first, i need to work on my posing -- that claw is not at all flattering; and second, it reminds me not to ever try wearing a little black dress to wedding if your shooting style involves crouching, laying on the ground or otherwise sprawling yourself out to get the desired angle... :|

i shot another super fun engagement for one of my october couples last week! heidi is one of the most upbeat and relaxed brides-to-be i've had the opportunity to work with and i had such a blast hanging out with her and paul for the evening. we finished shooting *just* before a massive rain and hail storm hit... fortunately for heidi and paul, their car was parked on the right end of the parking lot... unfortunately for me, mine was not -- we definitely should have taken a picture of my soggy self after ten seconds in that downpour, would have made for a good laugh! next time ;)

i had a blast spending not just one, but two evenings, hanging out with and shooting melissa and tanya this past month. our first session was cut short because of some crazy weather, and then part two didn't end up happening for a couple of weeks due to a combination of scheduling conflicts, injuries and surgeries! we finally got together to finish up the session so here are a handful of my favorites :)

i can't believe it is already the middle of july... this summer is just flying by and i've had the opportunity to spend time with so many awesome couples over the past couple of months. on top of that, the weather here in edmonton has been pretty darn fantastic for the last while so i'm getting off the computer and outside as much as possible! (which has been great for me, but not so great for all my awesome blog readers... haha, sorry!)

that all said, here i am to share another pink sugar wedding! nicole and keith were married on a gorgeous day a couple of weeks back and i had a fabulous time sharing in the promises and celebrations of their wedding day. wishing you two all the best with all of the wonderful experiences that lie ahead of you :)

i will be out of the office from tomorrow until monday to attend my sister-in-law's wedding in sylvan lake so i hope everybody has a fabulous weekend! i'll be returning emails and messages early next week :) xox.

happy belated canada day everybody! hope everyone had a fun and relaxing holiday and took advantage of the amazing weather we've been having :) and happy fourth of july to all my readers south of the border -- hope it's a good one!

i'll be shooting olga and alex's wedding next summer and we got together for their engagement session last week! it was a bit of a crazy weather day and in the couple hours we were together, we experienced everything from windy and rainy to hot and sunny. it was a fantastic time though -- we hit up some cool locations, i learned some old ukranian traditions, and the light at the end of the session was to die for!

a bit of a twist on a couple of ukranian traditions -- olga and alex exchanged flower crowns and then jumped over a fire for good luck!

another weekend, another fantastic wedding! i really don't think anyone could ever get sick of my job -- what better way to spend the day than getting to have a blast sharing it with people who are in love?? :) of course, chelsey and ryan's wedding day was no exception -- a great group of people, fabulous style, delicious food and to top it off, the coolest first dance i've ever seen!

remember how i mentioned the cool first dance?? i cannot even begin to imagine how many hours this took to perfect, but however long it was... it was worth it!

kim and mat were married a couple of weeks back on a gorgeous thursday afternoon and i really had an incredible time with them! their outdoor ceremony was just beautiful, their reception was an absolute blast and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day. there are so many more pictures i'd love to share from their wedding but i think i've left them waiting for this post long enough, so here are a few teasers that caught my eye while i've been sorting through the images from their day! all the best you two :)

it seems my poor lonely blog has been a little neglected over the past couple of weeks, but i promise that's about to change! i've shot three awesome weddings in the past two weeks and can't wait to share them all :)

two saturdays ago i had the pleasure of photographing christine and mike's wedding and they were an absolute dream to work with. these two had everything planned out and perfected months before the wedding, and as a result, the day ran so smoothly and everything was just beautiful. from christine's two pairs of fabulous shoes and stunning dress, to mike's rad argyle socks, to the classy black and white damask theme that carried through from the prep all the way to the reception, every detail was perfectly coordinated. to top it all off, christine and mike are now celebrating their honeymoon in italy! i hope the two of you are having an amazing time c&m... enjoy the teasers!

i met up with brett and tuck earlier this week for their engagement session, and as usual, it was a blast! the weather was just gorgeous and we ended up with some beautiful light right as we were finishing up the session. i really can't say enough just how awesome it is to get to spend time with people like brett and tuck who are so in love and happy together -- i love my job! looking forward to working with you both again in august :)

first up, marcella and reinhard's fabulous wedding from last weekend! i mentioned this when i blogged their engagement session last fall, and i'll say it again now, these two are just absofreakinlutely adorable! they are so in love, and so much fun to be around -- i had an awesome time hanging out with them on their wedding day. congratulations m&r, hope you are enjoying cancun :)
